I saw the pictures from last year buffalo races. I have never been but it looks like a good time.

Although this festival is a four day event, the actual Chonburi Buffalo race will begin at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 3. The races are traditionally held the day before the full moon of the 2nd lunar month, a date which coincides with the end of the three month Buddhist Lent. This is a very colorful event. To see riders on these huge buffalos thundering down the 100 meter race course is exciting. I hope someone can post some pictures.

We went to the buffalo races today and had a good time. I will try to post some video clips tomorrow. Too tired to do it tonight.

I haven't been to a buffalo race in Thailand, although the one I attended in Indonesia was great fun. Perhaps I will make the next one in Chonburi. Here is a picture from the Nation.
