Referred to in Thailand as Katoey, these “girls” are certainly no drag queens. In most cases a lot of care and time has been spent to make sure these guys look like real women: and not the exaggerated female stereotypes common in American drag shows.

In Bangkok, there are a bunch of ladyboy bars in Nana Plaza.

Pattaya, there are three ladyboy gogos, Stringfellows (Soi 13/1) mentioned above, Obssesions/Kitten Club
(Soi Pattyland 2)and Limmiquai (Soi Diamond) plus a whole bunch of ladyboy bars.

Probably the gentlest introduction to ladyboys is at Sally's Bar on Soi 5 in Jomtien not far from Immigration.

Ok, this is all way out of my experience range, so you're getting me curious. I know sexual preferences are all a matter of personal taste and that reasons vary from person to person, but I'd be interested in hearing from the guys who like ladyboys...what's the appeal for you? For example, I get turned on by sexually aggressive women because, at heart, I'm a lazy bastard and like when they just take what they want instead of making me work to give it. I don't know how to answer your question. That's like asking someone what they like about the color green. It's either something you like, something that does not appeal to you, or something that appeals to you on occasion. When you come to Thailand, try going to a good lady boy bar and decide for yourself if it is something you can get into.
