If any US citizen in Pattaya needs an income verification letter for your retirement visa, they can be had on November 19 at the Dusit Thani Hotel. The American consular will visit Pattaya on Thursday from 8 AM to 12 noon. I do not believe they are able to provide a full array of services as the embassy, but can provide the verification letter and answer questions

Unfortunately for me, my retirement renewal is not until February, so it's too early to get the income verification letter. I believe the only service they cannot provide is adding pages to passports.

That may not be correct. I got my verification letter four months in advance and immigration readily accepted it. I would like to suggest checking with immigration to see how far in advance they will accept the letter. It might very well save you a trip to Bangkok.

Turns out to be very bad timing for a buddy of mine who arrives at Swampy around 11:30 AM that day.

You are welcome. I have not been to one of these consular outreach visits, but in some cases, it helps. Last year my friend saved a trip to Bangkok by receiving his income verification letter from the visiting consular. He was happy.
