Hard to believe that the skytrain system is celebrating its 10 year anniversary. Seems like it opened just a few years ago. This system and the MRT has really made Bangkok an easier way to travel. I am looking forward to the opening of the airport link December 5.

I too remember the pre-BTS days in Bangkok, it opened about year after my Thailand trips started. It sure is much easier to get around now. The airport link will be a welcome addition. I wonder about all those taxi drivers at the airport however. . . . . . .

Even with the airport link there will be plenty of people who prefer taxis.

I really don't know how the taxi drivers make any money. The fares are cheap and the competition is stiff.
