It's near the end of the year and a perhaps a good time to sell stocks or mutual funds.

For Americans:

Capital losses first offset capital gains. Beyond that you can offset up to 3K of ordinary income with capital losses.

Many of us not working in the LOS are in the 15% or lower marginal tax bracket. That means our long term capital gains and qualified dividends are taxed at 0%, yes that's a perfect 0.0 Mr Blutarsky!

Shrewd tax moves mean baht in your pocket.
