Who has caused the current financial woes of the US? The rich republicans like Bush. By US standards I am most certainly not considered to be among the rich.

Yeh, Yeh Bush. Bush is to blame for everything. Perhaps by US standards you aren't rich but by Haitian standards and probably half the world, you are.

Bush is absolutely to blame for what happened during his presidency.

Some people like to see the world in black and white. Life doesn't quite work like that.

The POTUS can certainly be blamed for some things while others are out of his control.

Oh, it is so much easier to blame it all on the past POTUS.

An example of what can't be blamed on the past POTUS is 9/11.

An example of what can be blamed is the war in Iraq.

Another thing that can be blamed on Bush is the fact that when he took office the US had a budget surplus; when he left office it was the highest in the history of the US.

I think you meant to say the highest deficit in the history of the US.

I bet Obama can beat the past POTUS in regard to the deficit.

It looks that way. The powers that want to reflate the economy which is good for some but happens to be very bad for me.

After the results of the Massachusett special election, Obama admits he has been out of touch with the people. I think the people do no want big governmental spending. More spending will certainly lead to higher taxes. Who knows Obama might not beat Bush's deficit records.
